Joham, CMP, CMM MPI-NJ President The New Jersey Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI-NJ) is composed of a well established and highly respected group of planners and suppliers from the Tri-State area as well as global colleagues who join our Chapter by choice. The Chapter objective is to offer exceptional educational opportunities and cutting-edge information to our members and collectively promote the power of meeting and meetings. Working together with NJBiz is one key way in which we contribute to the sharing of information and knowledge. The mission of the MPI-NJ Leadership Team is to facilitate Return on Investment (ROI) on an individual basis for each member. We have developed a Chapter-specific ROI Personal Plan so that, as a member, you can easily evaluate your membership involvement as well as methods and means to make MPI-NJ membership more valuable. We all know that in order to get advantages from any membership it is also necessary to contribute. Therefore, we encourage our members to showcase their strengths in areas such as CSR initiatives, community outreach, technology, mentoring, knowledge sharing, communications, and public relations. Working as a team, we use our combined knowledge to help the New Jersey meeting community. MPI-NJ is a group of professionals who work together in a myriad of situations to support each other. We actively encourage planners to use the services of supplier members in order to show support and to benefit from the exceptional offerings within the Chapter. At the same time, our supplier members have opportunities to showcase their strengths to other members through established programs. Each and every monthly program brings members and guests just one step closer to career advancement, securing interviews or positions, discovering a personal talent, or obtaining a beneficial networking opportunity. We strive to provide opportunities which will facilitate development and growth and propel members up the ladder of success. As meeting professionals we are faced with challenges on a daily basis. Part of the responsibility to profession and self involves embracing such challenges and finding solutions in an efficient and expedient manner.
